From the Supermoon to the Mars Rover and the origin stories of the constellations, the heavens have inspired our imaginations to create music, art, and poetry from ancient times to today! Join us at the NKU Planetarium to learn how looking to the stars can help you put things in perspective on Earth.

NKU theatre students will recite poetry inspired by the heavens, accompanied by a flat-screen tour of the universe, followed by Planetarium Director Christa Speights continuing the tour by telling the stories of the constellations and how they continue to fascinate us to this day. You’ll then relax with an astronomy-themed gratitude meditation led by NKU’s Wellness Director Kim Baker. You’ll also enjoy music from Zac Granger from the NKU Jazz Faculty, for a truly out-of-this-world experience.
